Projects

LRM invests in innovative and impactful climate projects and eco-initiatives that are not only part of our own climate investment plan, but also tie in with the Flemish and international climate objectives. LRM has the expertise and resources in-house to undertake strategic impact projects in green energy production: windmills, solar energy, energy storage... We develop projects in which economy and ecology go hand in hand.

In addition, LRM has also made an undertaking to contribute to the United Nations 'Sustainable Development Goals'. These are the goals the world is working to achieve by 2030 to secure the planet’s sustainable development. The 17 main objectives and 169 sub-objectives form the most important international sustainability framework for the next 15 years.

Mobility has always been subject to technological, economic and social innovation. Today, the transition is underway into a completely new mobility ecosystem that will also have a major impact on our society. LRM plays a pioneering role in Limburg and cannot miss that mobility boat. There are a number of innovative mobility projects that LRM would like to work on. In addition, the Flemish Government has set a number of objectives for the 2019-2024 legislative term to which LRM can contribute in various ways.

LRM heeft zich geëngageerd om haar steentje bij te dragen aan de ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ of ‘Duurzame Ontwikkelingsdoelstellingen’ van de Verenigde Naties. Dat zijn de doelstellingen die de wereld zich tegen 2030 stelt om aan duurzame ontwikkeling te werken. De 17 hoofddoelstellingen en 169 subdoelstellingen vormen het belangrijkste internationale duurzaamheidskader voor de komende 15 jaar. Onze groene energieprojecten, maar ook heel wat andere investeringen en realisaties, zijn perfect te kaderen binnen die SDG’s.

Na drie positieve evaluaties behaalde LRM in 2020 het officiële Voka Charter Duurzaam Ondernemen, waarvan de 17 SDG's aan de grondslag liggen, én het VN-certificaat. LRM mag zich nu officieel SDG Pioneer noemen. LRM stelde een plan op maat op van maar liefst 63 actiepunten om de duurzaamheidsdoelstellingen te helpen realiseren.
