Terhills is best known today for the stylish Terhills Hotel with its 60 luxury rooms in the former main building of the Eisden mine, the adjacent Terhills Conference, the Terhills Cable Park and the main access gate to the Hoge Kempen National Park with the most beautiful walking area in Limburg. At the end of 2019, the luxury wellness centre Elaisa also opened its doors amid the greenery.
Terhills Resort, the holiday park with 250 waterfront villas, is currently under construction. LRM is building the holiday park in collaboration with Pierre & Vacances and Center Parcs. In the development and construction phase of the Terhills Resort, LRM has adopted a resolutely sustainable approach. This translates into timber frame construction and the use of sustainable and high-quality materials, investments in an 18 MW battery park, solar panels on land and water and investments in the enrichment of biodiversity on the site. The entire project represents an investment of 75 million euros and is the crowning touch to a long re-purposing project hinged around the former mining site of Eisden.
The Terhills Resort will open to the general public in the spring of 2021.
