Investment strategy Cleantech & Energy

Within Cleantech & Energy LRM focuses on four areas: venture capital, project finance, knowledge infrastructure & low CO2 business parks. This combined approach is a unique selling point.

LRM conducts an active acquisition strategy which is facilitated by it’s structural relationship with different knowledge institutes, operational project partners and co-investors. Both within an outside Limburg.

LRM and Limburg are well placed to achieve their steep cleantech ambitions. The available land for business purposes, the natural resources (eg. existing coal layers) and the investment funds can make a real difference.

The average investment horizon is situated between 5 and 10 years, but it also can be longer for specific projects.

LRM is conducting research into several demo and pilot projects. Concrete research is being conducted into ‘Smart Grids’, CO2-injection in layers of coal and geothermal energy.
